Policy & criteria
EFGH offers financial aid grant to families for the school year 2017-2018.
EFGH provides a sound French after school program education to all children, within a community that strives to mirror the rich diversity of economic and social classes, racial and ethnic heritages, religious beliefs and family structures found in the larger society.
The purpose of the financial aid grant is:
- To make our program accessible to most, independently of financial situation, regardless of race and religion.
- To encourage new families to join the after-school program
- To maintain in the program current families who have demonstrated a commitment to the program.
- To promote socioeconomic diversity in the EFGH community.
Financial aid awards are based on demonstrated need and fulfillment of the grant program.
The eligibility for financial aid is based on a need analysis based on the information collected from taxable income, assets, and expenses as indicated on the standard application form.
Financial aid awards are at the discretion of the Board of Directors of EFGH and cannot be discussed.
The financial aid awards will be based on a percentage of total tuition fees and will not exceed 50% of total tuition fees.
Since the grant award is based on the family’s ability to pay tuition fees as demonstrated by the information provided, it is important to have current and accurate data about the family’s income and assets.
This information is kept anonymous and in the strictest confidence when studied by the Financial Aid Committee.
Any document submitted for consideration can be returned to you upon request to the Financial Aid Committee.
If parents are separated or divorced, both parties must submit a financial statement. It is generally expected that both parents will contribute to their child’s educational expenses.
Application forms for financial aid grants for the 2017-18 school year are due by August 1st, 2017.
We anticipate sending letters awarding grants by August 31, 2017.
Please write a letter explaining why you ask for financial aid, tell the Financial Aid Committee anything you believe should be taken into consideration for your grant.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact Mrs. Andree Smith: email@example.com
