About EFGH

Who we are?

EFGH is a non-profit organization offering French courses to native and non-native French-speaking students. We hold classes for more than 200 students every Saturday at The Awty International School.

Our mission

We teach children ages 4 to 18 to learn to read, write, and converse in French. Our stimulating programs are designed to help students learn to use the French language independently.

Our commitment

Quality Education
Small class sizes and differentiated instruction help students learn the language more effectively, while a teaching coordinator ensures that lessons follow a curriculum.

Shared Cultural and Educational Goals
EFGH is a community for francophone and francophile families to share values and culture.

Affordable Tuition
Thanks to the generosity of our partners and sponsors, EFGH can offer affordable tuition without sacrificing quality or the classroom environment.

A brief history

Éducation Française Greater Houston was founded in 2010 by a group of parents to promote learning the French language and to fill a need for classes for native and non-native French-speaking children in the Greater Houston area.
Thanks to the generosity of its sponsors and partners, EFGH has grown enormously, and today, it is recognized by the Consulate General of France in Houston and by the Agence de l’Enseignment du Français à l’Étranger (or AEFE, the agency for teaching French abroad), a division of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As a member of the FLAM USA Federation, EFGH is the only organization in the region to offer Saturday morning French classes during the academic year, from September to May.
